About CI Solutions
CI Solutions is a student-run, community-focused business solutions agency for students at CSU Channel Islands University.
The Challenge
This project was one of my first projects when I started CI Solutions. I was recognized by my creative mindset that I was called in for this project to create illustrations for badges for internal use of CI Solutions. However, at the time of this project, I had no skills in using Adobe for graphic design.
The Outcome
I was assigned 14 badge titles and one pathway landscape backdrop design, and I had to use my creative mindset to innovate ideas for each of them.
There was no specific design direction for each badge, but this project had an outdoorsy theme which gave me ideas when I thought about each title.
However, the Research pathway landscape illustration had a specific direction for the design with a tundra biome landscape, the color blue across the design, and an igloo. Placements of mountains, trees, the igloo, and the color blue had no exact direction to place on the page.
I was fascinated with the skills I showed, especially since this was the first graphic design project I had ever done on a desktop.

Take Initative
The bow and arrow represent taking action by shooting an arrow. This design came to mind since shooting an arrow with a bow symbolizes taking action.
Help a Wanderer (Guide)
Compasses help guide and provide you a direction. Just like giving a direction, a compass can help and guide a wanderer in nature.
